Chloe, a brighton based chef, ready for cooking in the kitchen of a pub in brighton

I am currently a Sous Chef at the Brighton Wahaca, known for it's stunning, vibrant and fresh Mexican food.

Before this I was the Head Chef of a bustling Independent Pub in the Fiveways/Preston Park area of Brighton. During my time there, we managed to claim the Knorr 2019 UK award for the Best Meat Roast Dinner.

My journey into cooking and through the commercial catering road, though seemingly short, has been eventful. I would like to share with you all what I have learned along the way; with some pro cooking tips, answers to culinary questions that have always left you stumped and, of course, shed some light on what the wonderful world of professional cookery is like.

I want to inspire people to follow their passions, whatever they may be and realise that it is never too late to change your career or life direction. I also want to encourage you all to cook more at home because there is no better feeling than cooking a meal for yourself, friends or family and everyone enjoying it. (and, if they don't, well, you know what not to do next time!)

So pick up a pan, raise your wooden spoons and join me in my victory-cry as we scream:

ANYONE CAN COOK!
